We report the first case of a post-neurosurgical meningitis due to Psychrobacter sanguinis, only identified by 16S rRNA. Psychrobacter spp. usually live in deep sea environments and cold habitats. Despite a strict questioning of the patient and the medical staff, we did not find the source of this bacterium.
